Alphabetizing Favorites

My favs are alphabetized...don't want that.
I've tried to move them with Organize Favorites but they go back to alpha.  Right clicked fav icon, nothing there to undo.
I do not have a third party tool bar.  ????

The point about third-party programs is that they may interfere with the normal operations of IE.  For example, certain security and anti-spyware programs do things such as "protect" the registry from update.  That's fine as far as preventing unwanted changes
to the registry but the user then may need to be aware of that implementation and temporarily disable or undo it in order to get
wanted changes to the registry made.  Saving Favorites is an example of a registry change which the user wants done and does not want blocked or undone by misguided or uncontrolled security programs.  If you can't guess what might be interfering
with that update and prevent it, it may help to use a trace program such as  ProcMon  to watch the updating as it happens;  then your symptom description can be made explicitly in terms of registry changes which either aren't happening or are being blocked
or are being undone.  In the case of simple registry changes you may even be able to make them yourself, e.g.
using RegEdit, instead of having them occur normally.  Unfortunately, this update for Favorites is not one of the those as it involves very long binary
strings and other binary changes.
