Cannot find IE on my computer, i have looked everywhere.

I cannot locate IE anywhere on my computer.  It is not in the list of programs and features,  but if I try to download and install, I get a message that it already exists on my PC.  I have tried unchecking and rechecking in the 'turn Windows features off
and on' section, but it still doesn't appear.  I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

Follow these methods.
Method 1:
Check in a new user account with Administrator privileges and check.
Create a user account
If it works in new user account, then the other user should be a corrupted.
To fix the corrupted user account, follow the steps from the following article:

Method 2:
If that does not help, you may perform an In-Place Upgrade(also known as repair upgrade) and check if that helps.

Note: Performing a repair installation will not damage files and applications that are currently installed on your computer. 
However, I would suggest you to backup all the important data from the computer before performing in-place upgrade.

• In the File Name box, type a name for your backup file, such as "Windows Operating System Backup".

• You now have a backup of your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION-related registry entry.
